About K-9 Hope
K9-Hope history is closely associated with a storm called Katrina. Bob and Lori Boylan set in there leaving rooms seeing story after story how people where expected to leave their beloved Fur-kids behind. After the Hurricane hit the inevitable happed - thousands upon thousands of cats and dogs were displaced and trying to fend for their self’s. The Boylan’s felt they had no other choice then try to help as many pets as they could, with one goal - get them back to the people who had to leave them not by choice.
The Boylan’s where in the unique position of owning and operating a private kennel with lots of friends and resources. After a crazy few days we had donation after donation to go and save as many dogs as we could support. When all was said and done we were able to reunife 5 of the 11 dogs we rescued and both the cats to their homes. The experience was one that brought great joy and sorrow, but was worth every bit the blood, sweat, tears, and laughs.
Jump to 2010 K9-Hope had final secured a full non-profit status. The goals are still the same as when we started. Rescue, Reunify, and Filling Gaps in the typical rescue shelter system. We hope you have a good understanding of who we are, were we started from, and what we still strive to accomplish. Enjoy are site and we welcome any support or donations you may have for are programs and services.
